In this tough economic climate there’s a lot to be gained from increasing the energy efficiency of buildings in the commercial sector, while simultaneously helping the UK to meet its 2050 Climate Change Act targets. However, despite the obvious business case for investment in energy efficiency, take up has historically been low. Barriers preventing many commercial sector companies including SMEs and micro-businesses, is the lack of available upfront capital and having the necessary information to hand to understand exactly what measures or technology to focus on in order to realise the maximum benefit.
